Brief Introduction of myself - I am a Linux Addict

I am starting this blog so that I can see what I want to accomplish with it. I am a self-proclaimed Linux hacker. I say "self-proclaimed" because no one has called me that, other than people who know nothing about computers and think I am a fanatic when it comes to Linux. However, I love Linux for a couple of reasons. They are as follows:

1. It is freely downloadable - Thos who know me know that I do not have a whole lot of cash, so I am not at liberty to be able to spend lots of money on hardware and an OS. Linux has versions that can be downloaded freely off the internet. The supporting programs can also be freely downloaded in many cases.
2. It comes with source code - I am a tinkerer. I love trying to take things apart to see how they work. I also like being able to fix or adjust things the way I want.
3. There is lots of documentation on it all over the net
4. If you run into problems, there is someone out there who is willing to help you find the answers to your problems without charging you.
5. If you find a problem with the software that you are running, you can tell someone who might actually fix it even though you are the only one who has complained about the bug.
6. I've always liked to do things a little different than others

I suppose I will begin to get more and more heavily involved in writing drivers and doing hardware hacking as time goes on. It seems I am being drawn that direction, although I also like networking stuff.
